WATE-TV6 in Knoxville has an immediate opening for a Broadcast Maintenance Technician. Candidates must have a degree from an accredited electronics school or college with 10 years experience in broadcast maintenance. Qualifications include being able to troubleshoot analog and digital broadcast electronic equipment to the component level in cameras, video tape machines, switchers, microwave, transmitters, and associated terminal equipment. Candidates must also have an understanding of computers and microprocessors as they apply to broadcasting equipment and servers. VHF and UHF transmitter experience a plus. Must have a General Class FCC license and SBE certification.
