Outside Interests/Hobbies:

    Travel, hiking, and wakeboarding. Surfs, but not real good. Used to own a board. Hockey skills are lack-luster, but continues to play when time allows. Pirates fan since 1969. Red Sox fan since 1975. The Fisk home run did it. Favorite NFL team no longer exists. LA Rams fan from 1968-1995. Refuses to cheer for St. Louis Rams. Understands what Brooklyn Dodger fans went through. Sabres fan since 1973. The French Connection Line (Martin-Perreault-Robert) did it. And it's ROW-bear, not ROB-ert.

What You Enjoy About Local News:

    Wogan has been on top of Tennessee sports from coast-to-coast since 1990. He's covered a dozen college bowl games, and was there when the Vols won the 1998 national title in Tempe, Ariz. He's witnessed some of the state's biggest events, including the Vols' Miracle at South Bend against Notre Dame in 1991 and Peyton Manning's first game as a Volunteer at UCLA in 1994. He was on the sidelines when the Titans won the Music City Miracle playoff game against the Buffalo Bills. Add in seven women's NCAA Final Fours, the 2000 Super Bowl and NASCAR races at Daytona and Bristol, and you can see Wogan's career has been vast and varied. Wogan says Knoxville is a sports crazy town, and his career proves it.
