Deb, it's so cool that you lived in Memphis.. I went to Rhodes College my first year, and I still have friends that go to Rhodes and Christian Brothers! Just thought that was neat... Well, I'm Lorra, and I'll be turning 21 pretty soon, and I'm working on my secondary education degree at ETSU. I love Jesus Christ and the joy, peace, security, and overall fulfillment He has put into my life!  Grin I could go on and on about Him, so I will end it there and tell everyone out there that doesn't know Him as Savior and best friend, that you're really missing out!
I work as a waitress, have a leadership role in Campus Crusade for Christ here at ETSU, and I love to go to movies and hang out with friends, jog, play Racquetball, hike, football, and lots of other outdoor activities. I love Christian rock and contemporary music and going to concerts. I love being goofy and having fun, but also getting serious when it comes to truly getting to know people and try to really see life from their perspective. I love meeting new people, which is why I think this thread is an awesome idea!  Smiley
Oh, and I'll take this opportunity to let everyone know that I have.. well, God has.. an email ministry that is sent out at least three times a week, and it's really great. If anyone is interested in getting encouraging, yet challenging, emails that are fun and help get a daily devotional with Christ, let me know!  Smiley
Well, I guess this is pretty long enough already.. I'll just say if anyone wants to know something about me that I don't think is too personal, just ask. I'm going to try to be a regular "poster" on Sound Off so maybe you'll get to know me that way.  Wink Later!

Yeah, Deb, I remember you saying that.. That's why I thought it was cool that I have friends that go there now, and that I went to school at Rhodes, which, as you probably know, is really close to Christian Brothers. I wasn't too crazy about Memphis, though.. Lots of cool stuff, but not a great place to live.. at least not for me, anyway.  Smiley I'm glad God wants me in Johnson City instead.  Wink

I am a 25 year old mother of a 6 year old little girl. I have been married to my soulmate for seven years. We attend a non-denominational church in Powell. I grew up Baptist but we have been attending there for about a year. It is a very free church where anyone can worship God. We have an amazing youth program designed to get children and teens involved in praising the Lord. Our church is directly affiliated with the evangelist Perry Stone from Cleveland. It is powerful what God is doing for this ministry.

I recently graduated from PSTCC with my Associate's degree. I work full time as I have done since my daughter was 4 months old. I am awaiting a career move that God is going to provide for me very soon.

I believe in the Bible in its entirety. While it is true that man actually wrote the Bible, the words were given by God. He expects all to live by his Word.

I guess that's a little powerful message for some but yesterday was Sunday and I am still fired up from church. I look forward to seeing and talking to you all on Sound Off.

Well, howdy all and welcome. I am glad to see so many people willing to share a little about themselves. I am 34 years old, I have three kids, a rottweiler and a tabby. I am a Network Administrator for a company in Clinton, TN and I install networks and do PC work on the side.  I am very opinionated (like noone here knows that) and I stand firm in my beliefs. I am a Christian and being such, I strive not to judge others, though sometimes, in my human frailty, I fail. If I have forgive me, for I am still just a human. At any rate, I am a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and a devout supporter of our current commander and chief. I am actively involved in Media Reform. When I am not ranting, I enjoy writing both in the world of fiction and in the world of Children's books. Nothing published yet, as I mostly write for my kids. When I do work on fiction, I generally get distracted before I finish and therefore have no completed novels. *sigh* But I strive non-the-less. Gus Gallows is my pen name for my fiction and Uncle Gus for my children's books, so keep your eyes open. One day you just might find it on a bookshelf (fingers crossed.) I enjoy Football over all other sports. I also like to watch the world championship of poker. Smiley Texas Holdem is awesome. Smiley I hope I do not offend anyone with my posts, but I will continue to post my mind and expect everyone else to do the same. If we do not speak from our hearts and minds, then we probably shouldn't bother speaking at all. Smiley I hope you all leave each day to bright and beautiful evenings.

Thank you Gus for your service to our country!

I'll look for your books.  I love to read, and my grandson is accumulating quite a collection of children's books.

I assure you that we will not always agree, but I hope that we can at least always respect the other person's opinions.

I have nothing but the utmost respect for you Deb. Your views are vastly different then mine on most issues, but you stick to your guns and I have to respect that. Much admiration. Smiley

Hello to all!
As you all can see by now I am up late doing my writing, that is what I do. I write, poetry, among others things that I may discuss later. I have been writing a novel for some time now hopefully to be finished by the end of this winter and ready for the publishing house. I am a very private person since my divorce. Must be the distrust the demon forgot to pack Angry
Just the same, I am a very good freind to those who want me to be and a cold B**** to those who give me just cause. I live in the Campbell County area and I have really enjoyed reading your post. My daughter is a poet and avid reader of your forum also. So I will check out for now and see you all on the forum.~~~~Gypsy Kiss
