Obama was part of the Democrat majority that has held both houses of congress since the 2005 elections.

They conspired to "create a crisis" in time for the 2008 election with the clear goal of causing as much economic pain as possible to "pick up seats" and "win the White House". This is nothing short of treason, economic treason! The Democrat "leaders" conducted daily conference calls with Move on/George Soros: Because they own the Democrat Party.

If you note, the sub prime mortgage crisis leads to the door of Obama, Clinton, Waters, Frank, Dodd...

 Further pain was in form of the high cost of oil as these loons refused to allow America to go after her own oil, natural gas, coal. They would not allow Nuclear Power Plants or oil refineries to be built.

Now we are at the mercy of other countries. It is a matter of national security. As a Russian leader once said, "we will destroy you not with missiles but from within." We are now beginning to see the handwriting on the wall.

This is our most inept and uneducated generation and they only needed a slick and glib flim-flam man...Barack Obama, "the Messiah", "the one"!

Thank you, Abra for this information.  Not only did us Democrats do all that bad stuff, but we also went back and modified US Government  historical data records.  For example, the Senate web page now claims that Republicans held the majority for both 108th and 109th congresses (years 2003 - 2007), and likewise in the House of Reps.  Here's what they claim:

In 2003 many Republicans abandoned their traditional philosophical opposition to tax-and-spending hikes and voted in favor of the largest tax hike in history. They continued to vote for higher and higher double-digit budget increases in 2005 and 2007.
The RINOs need to be included in this Democrat majority.

I truly believe that if the Republican Party would work to understand and then promote the FairTax the American people would respond very positively. They could have the Democrats on the run.
