The solution that Mr. Hannity offers is Drill in the US.  Drill offshore.  Lower your fuel usage.  battery operated cars, wind power.    Mr Gore says no oil use by 2018.
Good. No bike parts, no plastics, no computer parts, no asphalt, no internet, no covering for wires, no printers, no cell phones, no telephone, no TV sets, No gas,  This would be a much better world, right?

You know what I think does not amount to a hill of beans, but one thing I know is that Parnelli likes to start things.  I don't think he has said a positive thing to anyones post.  It's like he comments of things just to get us going.

I don't care who does it I think we need to start looking a different way to conserve energy.

We don't need to conserve, save to watch one's utility bill but instead need to think of  energy solutions from an economy of scale framework.  No amount of conserving will help that much but building fuel cells, using coal and then liquifying for gas like they do in South Africa, building nuclear power plants and the like is how we will solve this problem.

I recommend that all of you go to www.pickensplan.com and review it.

Ok, you don't like Hannity. Why doesn't that surprise me Mr. Liberal? Possibly because he speaks the truth and to quote a famous movie, "you can't handle the truth."
You want another link to "drill here, drill now, pay less." How about: www.americansolutions.com

More his holyness BHO lies from just today: My committee, the banking committee. (He's not a member never has been).
He refuses to admit that the troup surge has worked.
More liberal drive-by media bias: His holyness visits Iraq and all the talking heads follow him to drool over every word. When Mr. McCain, a true war hero, visits Iraq what do you hear? A one sentence report.
More covers of more magazines have had his holyness' likeness on it.
A cartoon appeared about Mr. McCain that was extreemly derogatory, what did you hear about it? Anything? Anyone?
The cartoon about his holyness was in the news for over one week.

You say that the only reason I post is to "stir up trouble." If that's true, then I like stirring up this kind of trouble as all of your liberal points come straight from the Marxist book of knowledge and need to stay there.

Thank you, Parnelli for providing the link.  Unfortunately I don't have time to read it all now as tomorrow morning I'm flying to Beijing and then to Mongolia.  You guys/gals can take a breather now for over two weeks since I'm not taking my laptop on this trip :-)

To paraphrase Arnold S, the Terminator:  I'll be back -- in two+ weeks.

Now, do you have something to say about Gore's (or Pickens') plan, or perhaps you have or know of a better plan to solve the energy crisis?

If you believe in the Gore's or Pickens' plan, than you are as LAMBS that are being led to slaughter. The only saving grace is drilling and producing more fossil fuels and at the same time investing in plan like turning “Star Trek dream into reality.” In October 2000, NASA scientists announced early designs for an antimatter engine! I believe that this will happen in my childrens life time, if not, it will be in my grandchildrens life time!

Antimatter from comets will be used to bring every country into the 21st millennium without destroying our environment and turn the Star Trek dream into reality. You are going to learn about the incredible opportunities to make your dreams come true.

Science On April 22, 2002, the announcement was made that comets were discovered to be natural sources of antimatter. Antimatter is a mirror image of matter and can be a solid, liquid, gas or plasma. Antimatter is also composed of elements that have been incorporated into the Periodic Table of Matter-Antimatter Elements. Each antimatter element's nuclear, physical, and chemical properties has been identified to such an extent that people know almost as much about antimatter as matter. When matter and antimatter come together, energy is produced according mass times the speed of light squared or Einstein's famous equation, E = mc2: The most efficient energy source in the Universe.
Technology For over twenty-five years, Fermilab in United States and CERN in Europe have used accelerators to make, transfer, store, and collide antimatter with matter. Antimatter can be safely controlled and stored in a vacuum and electromagnetic fields. The matter-antimatter annihilations produce gamma rays that have seen in comet’s comas and tails. The wind and solar dust particles are blasting antimatter off comet to create the ambiplasma comas and tails. The annihilation energy is billions of times larger than the sunlight reflected off the comet's surface. To obtain antimatter, the plan is to send a spacecraft into 9P/Tempel 1 comet's tail, catch and safely store antimatter in Penning Traps.

Matter-Antimatter Engine

NASA is possibly only a few decades away from developing an antimatter spacecraft that would cut fuel costs to a fraction of what they are today. In October 2000, NASA scientists announced early designs for an antimatter engine that could generate enormous thrust with only small amounts of antimatter fueling it. The amount of antimatter needed to supply the engine for a one-year trip to Mars could be as little as a millionth of a gram, according to a report in that month's issue of Journal of Propulsion and Power.
Matter-antimatter propulsion will be the most efficient propulsion ever developed, because 100 percent of the mass of the matter and antimatter is converted into energy. When matter and antimatter collide, the energy released by their annihilation releases about 10 billion times the energy that chemical energy such as hydrogen and oxygen combustion, the kind used by the space shuttle, releases. Matter-antimatter reactions are 1,000 times more powerful than the nuclear fission produced in nuclear power plants and 300 times more powerful than nuclear fusion energy. So, matter-antimatter engines have the potential to take us farther with less fuel.

Can't you take a computer with you.I just might see you there.

Sorry, missed your post -- I left early in the morning of 24th.

I did not go to the olympics, only went to Beijing because it was on the way to Mongolia.  I didn't take a laptop with me this time as I knew I would not have internet access on most of this trip and wanted to travel as light as possible.

I take it you had a good time in China?
