"... I dunno, my impression is that Obama is quite fluent in his non-teleprompted statements and answers most questions reasonably well.  He may not be quite as glib as Clinton or Reagan, but overall his fluency is pretty good. Can you cite some examples where Obama failed to "string constructive thoughts together" or took a "half a day to finish a sentence"?  I don't recall any such occurrences, although he did start to hem and haw a bit towards the end of one of his earlier news conferences back in February, I think.  I thought he handled himself rather well in last Tuesday's event ..."

I DO remember a few uh's and ah's during the Corporate-Owned Media's constant grilling and trying over and over again to get the President to Bad-Mouth Justice Roberts for wrecking the Oath of Office.

I am beginning to wonder when, when, oh when; the International Terrorists will be brought to justice in our Country for having designed and created this God Awful, illegal, immoral War on a formerly sovreign Nation.

The only smack on the wrist, these murderers got, is Today's US Clean Energy Law vote. It will be fought against, tooth and nail by Republicans in both the House and Senate.

We still get to watch on the Television, nightly, how the International Terrorists can make fuzzy little warm kittens from Saudi Crude Oil, and perky little fluffy ducklings and meadows of plush green grass from Appalachian Coal.

It was ridiculous, yet not a surprise at all, to hear the Chairman of the Nation's Chamber of Commerce bad-mouth the Clean Energy Law, on PBS's News Hour, yesterday. No surprise at all, yet dis-heartening to know that the formerly non-Partisan COC, is now run by Partisan Hacks that despise American Commerce. They would rather see other Nations excel in developing new technolgy. They're still stuck in the same groove, they've been in for over 30 years now; dancing thru fields of tall green grass, singing the Sound of Music, created by our Nation's Oil and Coal companies.

US asks Israel to explore the reopening of an oil pipeline from Iraq

"... in return for Israel's backing of the US-led campaign in Iraq, the Israeli newspaper Haaretz reported yesterday ..."

Anyone remember the uproar after Bobo spoke at the 2004 Dem national convention and some white guy called Bobo articulate?  The reaction was that it was racist to say that a black man could be well spoken.  Turns out we were wrong, he's not really that articulate.  Without the words written out in advance, anyway.

Great!  Let's pull our troops out of there NOW!  Keeping 150,000 soldiers there is costing us billions and hurting our economy.

BTW, if it's over and we've won, how come we keep on getting reports such as "55  people killed and 116 wounded by suicide bombers in Baghdad" (see CNN)

You mean the GWB that brought us into this war unnecessarily?  Where's the WMD?

and possibly us too (see below).

Puny?  Their army is bigger than ours (although not their total armed forces).

I think you're mistaken.  NK has the ability to fight back and their people are so brainwashed into believing that their leaders are the good guys that they will fight to death.  A military confrontation is likely to be very costly in casualties on both sides.

We shall see.  You may be right - or you may be wrong.  A lot is going to depend on the economic situation.  I'm not making any bets.

Everything you said in that post is exactly what they said about the Iraqi invasion to boot Hussein.  Turned out to be ghost stories. The Iraqi army disappeared in a puff of ancient soviet weapons smoke. Your propagands is to scare children and old women.

Just as long as we're spending it over there instead of over here, keeps the Right Wingers happy.

Meet the real winners in all of our overseas adventures. And YOU don't have a choice. They own your great grandkids tax burden. $515.4 billion a year. Don't you feel safer now, knowing that China owns our debt? Kind of a warm fuzzy feeling, to know we have 3 theatres of overseas operations going on, and the winners are taking home 515.4 billion of your dollars every year.

It even makes more sense that 15 Saudi Arabians attacked us, so we invade Afghanistan and Iraq in retaliation. How have we stopped the flow of money to the FUNDERS of terrorists? How can Saudi Arabia spend more per capita on weapons per year than we do? Do the winners supply BOTH sides of the wars, or would that be unethical? Maybe it's just good business.
