This is a Paula Deen recipe and its delicious

1 box of moist chocolate cake mix ( I used devils food)
1 pkge cream cheese (room temp)
1 stick butter (room temp)
1 tsp vanilla extract
confectioners sugar

Beat the cream cheese and butter until smooth.  Beat in vanilla.  Beat in the cake mix a little at a time.  It may get a little difficult to work with, so take your time.  Once it is all incorporated, refridgerate dough for 2 hours.  After that, take ping pong size amounts of the dough and roll in the confectioners sugar.  Place on ungreased baking sheet and bake at 350 for 12 minutes.  Sprinkle with left over confectioners sugar for decoration.  They will still be gooey, but hey, that's why they are called gooey butter cookies!

They are great with ice cream by the way!
