I see this as a wonderful chance for WATE to work to make downtown a better place. Since, WATE helped uncover that the Giant Rubik's Cube is wasting away why done WATE get with WIVK and/or LOVE89 and do a fundraiser  for a restoration?  I think this last remaining icon of the 1982 World's Fair would look nice along the Knoxville waterfront or in the Marketplace downtown.  Also, I would like to know if anyone has any other suggestions for the Rubik's Cube?

The Rubik's Cube wasn't designed for long-term use outdoors.

As 6 News reported Friday, several interested parties have approached the East Tennessee Historical Society about restoring and displaying the cube, including Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum in Gatlingburg.
