but what about voting on character and leadership!!!

Certainly, those are values to be weighed, but what about the issues on which the candidates stand?  IMHO that should be the most important consideration.

I started to make a list of issues a couple of weeks ago but didn't get very far before running out of time.  Here's a few items:

ISSUEOBAMAMCCAIN
AbortionSupports a woman's right to choose but agrees to allow states to restrict late-term abortions.Supports overturn of Roe vs. Wade but leaves decision on abortion to the states (Note:  Palin is strictly against abortion)
 Energy
(Oil independency)
Proposes to eliminate oil imports completely in 10 years by investing heavily into renewable energy sources and natural gas. Wants to open for drilling areas that are now closed.  Proposes nuclear energy as the primary source for electricity./td]
IraqWants to end the war and bring the troops home within 16 months.Wants to keep our forces in Iraq until victory has been achieved.
Health careProposes to increase control of health care and insurance companies to make universal health care affordable to every citizen.Proposes that families should be in charge of their health care dollars and have more control over care.  Wants to reform the tax code to offer more choices beyond employer-based health insurance coverage
TaxesWants to discontinue the tax cuts to families making over $250,000/year, reduce taxes for low and middle income families, eliminate income taxes for seniors making less than $50,000Wants to give tax breaks to small businesses, keep the maximum tax level at 35%, maintain the 15% rate on capital gains and dividends, and cut the corporate tax rate from 35% to 25%.

There are, of course several more....

You are completely wrong on the abortion category. Palin is personally against abortion, but has never used her powers to push her beliefs on anyone. Nobama has supported more than once not offering aide to any child who survives a botched abortion.

Nobama's energy plan changes daily, and depending on where he is. He said there was no need to drill here, we just needed to tune-up our cars, and inflate our tires. Now he says we need to drill, I guess he is polling for answers. We never get the whole story because the nobama media will not tell the real stories, they only want to chase Palin around looking for something, when they could just look around and find plenty on Biden and Nobama.

Rather than debate the individual issues with you... someone sent me this link, maybe you should check it out... and be sure to seriously think before you make decisions.

No, he did not say "we need to drill".  From FoxNews:

McCain's Democratic presidential rival, Barack Obama, also has endorsed limited expansion of offshore drilling, but only as part of a broader energy package that boosts use of alternative energy sources and increases efficiency.

What he said was "that includes off shore drilling" leading everyone listening that he was for offshore drilling, when in fact he is only for drilling over fifty miles off shore which is actually not going to increase oil production as a cost effective solution.
