What is happening to this country?

Why do we continue to do business with the Chinese?

Makes us look a lot like STUPID.

We are?  Aren't we?  (we, used in it's loosest possible form, meaning the US Govt.)

I have always wondered why a government that is SO opposed to communism has such strong economic ties to a government that has practised communism, without excuse (not that you need an excuse to practise whatever politics you wish, of course), for so long.  The Chinese Govt. is secretive, has a really bad track record when it comes to human rights and suppresses any kind of freedom for it's citizens and yet here is the supposedly greatest democratic power on earth doing over 50% of their overall business with them.

Words escape me!  (for the moment anyway  )

And today, the Chinese officials take our money to the bank, our space secrets to the head of their space exploration agency,  our military secrets to their army, and just what do you think they are planning to do with it?

Oh, yea.....they're going to use all of those things to improve the human condition
