Always thought old Ed was an off his rocker lefty, but he must be, no I'd say he is a Kennedy type lefty and he has the backbone and political courage and THE honor to admit the FACTS, not many others save Liberiman and the bluedog democrat who wrote the new book, "A National Party No More", have that much backbone,...they indeed have the courage to go aganist the politic's and outright hatred their (partys elite) spew daily at the other party on a life or death issue like this. To me it's a rather sickening display when they bash for political points with their far left base instead of doing everything they can to defeat the terrorist and protect this nation and her citizens....,
It's good to know some of the decent people are still among the living, he just can't have any influence over the democratic political bosses, none of the above can,...the pols are in it for the power, or regaining their lost power. Just my opinion, and I agree with what you had to say about it. As a matter of fact,....RIGHT ON,...!

President Bush, whom I do not agree with on a single domestic issue, has distinguished himself by his willingness to take on international terrorism. Most of his Democratic opponents who are running for president do not have the stomach to stand up to the bin Ladens and Saddam Husseins of the world. I am convinced that the world is awakening to the danger of standing by silently while terrorists around the world exact higher and higher tolls in innocent lives.

as for as i am concerned the president could be a democrat, independant, whatever, as long as he/she has the stomach to protect (with nukes if necessary) this country. if self-preservation is human instinct --than USA-prevervation should be citizen instinct.
